THANK YOU 2020 - BENNY GEE
At the of 2020, the worst year in living memory, I wrote a comedy, celebratory anthem to the year called “Thank You 2020”. But the lyrics, ‘Thank You’, may be misheard for something a little ruder.
I then had the song arranged properly by Singing Serpent in no time at all. And decided I wanted to get it put onto a vinyl record. So, I asked Joe Giacomet to shoot a record sleeve cover.
Then, the day before the shoot, I asked Joe if we could actually also film an entire music video.
And then, when realising records have two sides, I recorded a ‘charming’ spoken word piece set to ‘Silent Night’ too. All in just a couple of weeks.
